sand & Gravel division

At our Sand & Gravel Division in Turure, surface mining begins with site preparation, including stream diversion, drainage, vegetation clearing, and overburden removal. The extracted Pit Run is washed to remove clay and impurities, then sieved into saleable products like Sharp Sand, Silt Sand, and aggregates (3/8″, 3/4″)—key materials for building our nation’s infrastructure.

Sharp Sand

Sharp Sand also known as concreting sand is a coarse, gritty aggregate with angular particles, ideal for concrete production, screeding, paving, and drainage applications.

Silt Sand

Silt Sand is a fine-grained aggregate with smooth, rounded particles. It is primarily used in applications requiring compactability and minimal drainage, such as filling, landscaping, and levelling.

3/8" (10mm) Aggregate

3/8" Aggregate is a small gravel with a nominal size of 3/8 inch (10mm). It is commonly used in concrete mixes, landscaping, and as a base material for pathways and driveways.

3/4" (20mm) Aggregate

3/4" Aggregate is a medium-sized gravel with a nominal size of 3/4 inch (20mm). It is widely used in construction for concrete production, road bases and drainage systems.

Limestone
division

At our Limestone Division, mining begins with blasting to extract Armour Rock, which is then transported to the crushing plant. The material is processed and sieved into various products, including Limestone Dust, 3/8″ and 3/4″ Limestone, Rip Rap, Crusher Run, and Scalping—essential for highways, access roads, and asphalt surfaces.

Crusher Run

Crusher Run is a blended aggregate consisting of crushed stone and stone dust, typically ranging in size from coarse particles to fines. This combination creates a well-compacting material ideal for use as a sub-base for roads.

Rip Rap

Rip Rap is a durable limestone rock aggregate available in various sizes, typically ranging from 4 inches to over 24 inches. Rip Rap's heavy, angular stones interlock to provide stability, making it ideal for retaining walls and drainage channels.

3/8" (10mm) Limestone

3/8" Limestone is a small, crushed limestone aggregate with a nominal size of 3/8 inch (10mm). It is commonly used in concrete mixes, driveways, landscaping, and as a base material for pathways.

3/4" (20mm) Limestone

3/4" Limestone is a medium-sized crushed limestone aggregate with a nominal size of 3/4 inch (20mm). It is ideal for use in concrete production, road bases, and drainage systems.
